The 1813 Guinea is the last guinea to be struck with a 14 year gap between the last spade guinea design of 1799 and new design of 1813, the 1813 guinea is know as the Military guinea as it was produced to pay the English soldiers advancing into France, was only produced for a very short time of just 5 months from February to June
This example is very nice with very few marks that are often found of these coins, there is a small scratch to right of shield and tiny kink above the crown overall this coin is vey pleasing in the hand in Extremely fine condition

Military type’ Guinea. The Obverse features George III fifth laureate head and is inscribed GEORGIVS.III.DEI.GRATIA. The Reverse features a quartered shield of arms, surrounded by a crowned garter which is inscribed HONI. SOIT.QUI.MAL.Y. The Reverse is also inscribed BRITANNIARUM.REX .FIDEI.DEFENSOR.
