Very Fine condition, first year of issue for the Victoria sovereigns
The Obverse features William Wyon’s ‘Young Head’ portrait of Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. The reverse has has a crowned shield design a branch of lauren leaves either side from Jean Baptiste Merlen and the inscription BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF.
Always a very sought after year by collectors
